Hosted by Macquarie University the afternoon seminar will showcase the latest research from local universities related to urban waterways and water management in Sydney.
Fourteen researchers from Macquarie University, Sydney University, University of Western Sydney, University of NSW, University of Technology Sydney and Charles Sturt University will cover different aspects of water management in Sydney. The 10 minute presentations each cover the BIG IDEAS of their respective fields, giving the audience an opportunity to listen to short, informative and interesting talks. The optional workshop at the end of the seminar session will be an opportunity to discuss ideas on how to foster greater collaboration on urban water management in Sydney. Afternoon tea, drinks and nibblies will be provided.

Stormwater Harvesting: Concept and Design
Wednesday 28 November 2012
This one day training course, developed in partnership with Monash Water for Liveability, will introduce you with the concepts required to design an effective stormwater harvesting project. The workshop will feature insights into stormwater harvesting guidelines, latest research on the performance of stormwater treatment technologies, conceptual design and costs associated with stormwater harvesting systems.

The program is founded on partnerships and links with local, state and federal government, research institutions and commercial industry. Growth Area WSUD Tour

Clearwater’s latest tour travels to Hume City Council and The City of Whittlesea. The tour will include site visits to biofilters and wetlands in new housing estates, visits to council owned WSUD assets and town centre renewal projects incorporating WSUD and stormwater harvesting.
