Twenty Years a South Australian
How has twenty years of ecological investigations advanced the understanding of stream functioning in Australia’s central South (aka South Australia) ?
Through stories of the pathways taken, a comprehensive Position Statement on the state of collective knowledge will be provided. The types of knowledge gained includes: faunal characterisation at the Drainage Basin and regional scales – its affinities and temporary river influences; biogeographical patterns, their drivers and barriers to dispersion at different scales; the location and structure of refuges between and within surface water catchments; methodological constraints, and knowledge outcomes from restoration via environmental water provisions.
