CityCat Tour of Brisbane’s Resilience Initiatives
Time: 9:30am – Midday
Cost: $20
Brisbane is Australia’s River City, defined by its nearly 4,000 kilometres of waterways that are connected to the Brisbane River and flow to Moreton Bay, a Ramsar site. While Brisbane enjoys a subtropical climate it also has needed to overcome the challenges of drought, flooding and severe storms that impact our community, diverse natural environment and the city’s built form.
Brisbane City Council has developed ‘Brisbane’s Resilience Outcomes’ to support the city’s community, environment and built infrastructure.
This tour will showcase the resilience initiatives and how Council fosters a resilient community to ensure the city continues to thrive in a variable climate.
