25th International Riversymposium COVID-19 Policy

The International RiverFoundation and International Association of Water Service Companies in the Danube River Catchment Area will be closely monitoring Covid restrictions and updates in Vienna, and will update attendees with important information.

Entry Into Austria and Pre-Travel Clearance

  • There are currently no restrictions on entry from other countries (as at 26/07/22 – check here for updated information)
  • Entry from countries without a very high epidemiological risk no longer subject to 3G (proof of vaccination, recovery/negative test result, no PTC, no quarantine)
  • Entry from countries with a very high epidemiological risk require 3G (proof of vaccination, recovery or a negative test result for SARS-CoV-2, PTC and ten-day quarantine)
    • An electronic registration has to be carried out in advance
    • There are currently no countries with very high epidemiological risk (as at 26/06/22 – check here for updated information)
    • Depending on the measures implemented in November, we may need to check 3G at the door to the venue – those who are unable to provide 3G will not be allowed to enter nor will they be refunded

International Riversymposium Covid Policy

  • If the event is unable to take place in-person due to increased Covid restrictions, the event will go ahead online. In this case, attendees who have purchased in-person tickets will have their registration changed to online and be refunded the difference in cost.
  • If you test positive for Covid and are unable to attend in-person, you will have the option to either transfer your ticket to online or transfer your registration to another person (please email irs@riverfoundation.org.au to facilitate this)
  • We will not be providing full refunds
