Date: Monday, 18 September
Time: 10.30am-12.00pm

This session aims to draw out some lessons from river basin management projects in three countries – India, Myanmar and Vietnam – involving collaborations between Australian and Asian experts. Australian participants will critically reflect on how successful their engagements have been for sharing Australian knowledge and experiences, and the role this has in supporting in-country reforms. They will highlight any tools or frameworks they are using to facilitate the exchange of knowledge. Their stories will be compared in discussion following the talks to see if there are any common lessons that might serve as advice for similar engagements in the future.
Program:
• 11:00-11:05 Introduction
• 11:05-11:25 India – David Harriss, Access Water Management
• 11:25-11:45 Myanmar – Tarek Ketelsen, Unlimited Energy Australia
• 11:45-12:05 Vietnam – Rob Rendell, RM Consulting Group, and Greg Holland, Jacobs
• 12:05-12:30 Discussion: common themes in the lessons learned? Chair: Nick Schofield, CEO, Australian Water Partnership
